NEWSANTARA, malangpost.id – Setelah Lebaran berlalu, Pemerintah melonggarkan sejumlah aturan terkait Covid-19. Pada Selasa, 17 Mei 2022 sore lalu, Presiden Joko Widodo atau Jokowi umumkan kebijakan pemerintah melonggarkan pemakaian masker.
Kebijakan tersebut ditegaskan Jokowi dalam konferensi pers terkait pelonggaran penggunaan masker di Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, Jawa Barat, Selasa 17 Mei 2022.
“Pemerintah memutuskan untuk melonggarkan kebijakan pemakaian masker. Jika masyarakat sedang beraktivitas di luar ruangan atau di area terbuka yang tidak padat orang maka diperbolehkan untuk tidak menggunakan masker,” ujarnya melalui kanal Youtube Sekretariat Presiden.
Menurut Jokowi, keputusan tersebut diambil setelah mempertimbangkan sejumlah aspek. Diantaranya adalah penanganan pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia yang semakin terkendali.
Namun, Jokowi menegaskan masyarakat yang melakukan kegiatan di ruang tertutup dan menggunakan transportasi publik tetap harus menggunakan masker.
“Untuk masyarakat yang melakukan kegiatan di ruangan tertutup dan menggunakan transport publik tetap harus gunakan masker,” tegasnya.
Selain itu, masyarakat yang masuk dalam kategori lansia, rentan, anak yang belum mendapatkan vaksin Covid-19, atau memiliki komorbid juga dianjurkan untuk memakai masker saat beraktivitas.
“Bagi masyarakat yang masuk kategori rentan lansia atau memiliki penyakit komorbid maka saya tetap menyarankan untuk memakai masker saat beraktivitas,” tambahnya.
Jokowi umumkan juga bahwa bagi masyarakat yang mengalami gejala batuk dan pilek maka tetap harus menggunakan masker ketika melakukan aktivitas.
Meski pandemi belum dinyatakan usai oleh Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (World Health Organization/WHO), beberapa negara telah menerapkan kebijakan melepas masker sejak Februari 2022 lalu.
Diantaranya adalah Denmark, negara Eropa pertama yang mencabut aturan memakai masker tak lagi wajib pada 1 Februari lalu. Setelahnya, beberapa negara juga membolehkan masyarakatnya melepas masker, termasuk Spanyol, AS, Uni Emirat Arab, dan Singapura.
