BOLA, Malangpost.id – Arema FC berhasil mengalahkan PSS Sleman 2-0 dalam pertandingan lanjutan BRI Liga 1 pada Kamis 13 Januari 2022.
Singo Edan, sapaan akrab Arema, memimpin dengan dua gol kemenangan pada menit ke-53 melalui striker Kushedya Yudo dan pemain sayap Dendi Santoso pada menit ke-56.
Sementara Super Elang Jawa (julukan PSS Sleman) menguasai penguasaan bola dengan rekor 59% dan 11 peluang, Arema juga bermain lebih baik saat bertahan dan menyerang.
Harapan I Putu Gede, Pelatih PSS Sleman belum juga terwujud. Apalagi Arema FC kini menjadi pemuncak klasemen.
Pelatih I Putu Gede memasukkan Ramdani Lestaluhu di babak kedua namun tak mampu menembus lini Arema yang dijaga Teguh Amiruddin.
Kemenangan itu semakin mengukuhkan keunggulan Arema FC di klasemen Liga 1 BRI dengan 40 poin dari 19 pertandingan.
Rekor Arema juga terlihat dari penampilan mereka sepanjang musim, tak terkalahkan dalam 16 pertandingan berturut-turut.
Persaingan di klasemen BRI Liga 1 juga masih ketat, karena Arema masih akan bersaing dengan Persib dan Bhayangkara FC.
Persib menghadapi pertandingan besar melawan Bali United pada Kamis 13 Januari 2022, sedangkan Bhayangkara FC akan berhadapan dengan Madura United pada Jumat 14 Januari 2022.
