Bergabung dalam Tim PSM GGB, mereka ikut mengharumkan nama UIN Maliki Malang dengan meraih 2nd Place and Gold Medal in Open Category, serta memperoleh Special Jury Award for Most Dramatic Visual Interpretation.
Menurut Ketua Umum PSM GGM, Langgeng Yulistyo Pambudi, prestasi didapatkan melalui ajang World Virtual Choir Festival (WVCF) 4th 2021. Itu merupakan sebuah kompetisi tingkat Internasional yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 – 8 September 2021.
“Perlombaan diadakan oleh Bandung Choral Society, dan pemenang diumumkan pada tanggal 8 September 2021 jam 20.00 WIB,” imbuhnya saat dihubungi malangpost.id, Jumat (10/9/2021).
Ajang WVCF 4 2021 ini, lanjutnya diikuti oleh peserta dari 10 negara. Mulai dari Indonesia, Filipina, Kroasia, Sri Lanka, Hongkong, Thailand, Singapura, Malaysia, serta negara Eropa, yakni Portugal, dan Polandia.
Pria yang akrab dipanggil Tyo ini lantas menjelaskan, bahwa persiapan lomba menghabiskan waktu sekitar 4 bulan lamanya. Tidak mudah, mengingat mereka harus dihadapkan dengan beberapa tantangan.

Sedangkan untuk lagu, Tyo mengaku membawakan satu lagu berjudul Bahasa Kalbu yang dipopulerkan oleh Raisa dan Titi DJ.
“Alhamdulillah, tanggapan dari kampus dan teman-teman UKM UIN Malang begitu mengapresiasi. Mereka juga turut bangga atas pencapaian yang diperoleh pada tahun ini,” tutur Tyo
Dengan perolehan prestasi ini, dirinya berharap, tahun yang akan datang bisa lebih baik lagi dari tahun ini. Tujuannya agar bisa menang di semua kategori lomba yang bakal diikuti nanti.
