Dono melanjutkan, langkah-langkah dalam metode pembelajaran menggunakan pantun ini cukup sederhana. Pertama guru mengawali, dan mengajak siswa melontarkan pantun yang sengaja dibuat untuk merangsang dan membangkitkan minat belajar siswa.
“Contohnya, jalan-jalan ke Irian, jangan lupa membawa ukiran. Mari kita pelajaran, ayo amalkan pokok pikiran,” ungkap Dono memberikan contoh pantun yang dibacakan oleh siswa didik.
