KAMPUS, Malangpost.id – Sebagai salah satu Universitas Islam unggulan, mendatang Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim (UIN Maliki) Malang bakal memiliki Rumah Tahfiz Al-Quran.
Bukan menjadi harapan saja, mengingat saat ini rumah Tahfiz Al-Quran sudah dalam proses pembangunan di lingkungan Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan (FKIK) Kampus 3 UIN Maliki Malang.
Rektor UIN Maliki Malang, Prof. Dr. Abdul Haris, M.Ag menyampaikan, Rumah Tahfiz Al-Quran tersebut rencananya diresmikan pada Bulan Juli 2021, karena pembangunan baru selesai sekitar 60%.

“Pembangunan masih sampai lantai satu, kita harapkan segera selesai,” ujarnya saat mengisi kegiatan selawat, Khatmil Quran, istighasah, dan rapat kurikulum RTQ, Jum’at (11/6)
Bukan hanya dalam bentuk bangunan saja, mendatang Rumah Tahfiz Al-Quran juga akan memiliki kurikulumnya sendiri.
Menurut Abdul Haris, kurikulum yang ada berbentuk program menghafal 30 juz Al-Quran secara penuh atau hanya sebagian juz yang berkaitan dengan bidang keilmuan tiap mahasiswa.
Seperti mahasiswa yang fokus pada ilmu kedokteran, maka yang dipelajari adalah ayat-ayat yang berkaitan dengan kedokteran dan sebagainya.
Menghafal Al-Qur’an adalah Pilihan, Membaca Al-Qur’an adalah Hal yang Wajib
“Menghafal Al-Quran merupakan pilihan, tapi kalau bisa membaca Al-Quran merupakan hal yang wajib,” paparnya.
Sebagai awalan, untuk sementara ini kurikulum tersebut akan diterapkan untuk semua program studi yang ada di FKIK. Program studi yang dimaksud antara lain Prodi Farmasi, Prodi Pendidikan Kedokteran, dan Prodi Profesi Kedokteran.
Abdul Haris mengaku, dengan didahulukannya fakultas umum yakni Saintek (Sains dan Teknologi) dalam hal ini adalah kedokteran. Hal ini bertujuan untuk membentuk stigma masyarakat.
Dirinya ingin agar semua fakultas dirangsang dan difasilitasi agar dapat menghafal Al-Quran. Sehingga hal tersebut menjadi motivasi yang berbeda alias “terbalik”.

“Fakultas umum saja mahasiswanya hafal Al-Quran, apalagi yang fakultas yang spesifik ke agama,” tekannya
Dengan dijalankannya kurikulum di Rumah Tahfiz Al-Quran tersebut, diharapkan dapat mencetak lulusan yang berkualitas. Baik dalam segi kompetensi, dan juga segi agama yakni kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an.
“Karena yang terpenting, Al-Quran dapat menjadi pedoman dalam mengarungi kehidupan,” pungkas Abdul Haris kepada awak media
